With a repertoire that spans decades, we offer something a little different with our piano led line-up, and like to throw in some musical twists to surprise and delight you. Our refreshed renditions of favourite hit songs have all of the good stuff in there but with a signature twist!

Essential Wedding Services

Our standard service includes all the essentials you'll need for an amazing party. It's designed to minimise costs by including everything you'll need for a 'normal' size wedding or party, it includes:

  • 2 x 1 Hour OR 3 x 40 Minute sets of live music to get all your guests dancing!
  • High quality sound and lighting systems to accommodate our professional performance
  • Background music before, between and after live sets
  • Use of our PA system for speeches during the time we are at your event
  • Large and varied repertoire to cater to all ages


Additional Wedding Options

We also offer upgradable options for extra special events:

  • Play that funky music white boy!- Full DJ Service via Laptop manned by a band member taking requests and making announcements
  • Encore! 1AM finish time
  • Unplugged - Acoustic ‘Live Lounge’ style performance for your dinner or drinks reception
  • Karaoke Superstar - Sing with the band on your big day
  • Our Song - The band will learn a specific song from outside their repertoire especially for your event

What We'll Do At Your Event

Arrival, set up and soundcheck

Up The Tempo will arrive in ample time to introduce themselves and set up before your evening proceedings. We collaborate closely with each event organiser to ensure that everything runs as smoothly and stress free as possible. Being veterans of many weddings and formal occasions, we know how important time keeping is, and are able to set up quickly, quietly and efficiently. We’ll then run a short soundcheck to ensure the band is sounding as great as possible for the first dance and when it’s time to hit the dancefloor!

After set up & soundcheck

After we have set up and sound-checked, we will play background music through the PA system and retire to our dressing room (which will be negotiated in advance of the day) to suit up in our stage clothes so we look the part for show time!

1st live set & break

We regularly play two, 1 hour sets - the first usually beginning with your first dance - although we’re happy to tailor these details to your specific event with prior negotiation. Timings of the sets will be arranged to work effortlessly with your event – We don’t want your guests to be distracted from their food by the urge to get up and dance!

2nd live set & end of the night

Our final set will be followed by either background music or a DJ set (depending upon the package you have chosen) to finish off the night while we quietly pack away. We usually finish everything by midnight, but extensions to this are available if arranged in advance.
